KARAMBULA SA MANOK (Cock Fighting)

The elected City Government officials of the city of Dipolog also had their share of fun in the 7th Pagsalabuk Festival sa Dipolog – the competition for the best cock fighter was held last June 3 to 4, 2005, at the Dipolog City Boulevard.
A scene of the 2nd day of the Karambula sa Manok, cock fighting, held at the Dipolog City Boulevard.

Armed with bets and with a healthy and well trained cock, 21 barangay captains gave life on the first day of the said event, while on the second day; it is the Dipolog City Councilors’ turn to unwind and compete.

The success of this event was made possible by the City Government of Dipolog headed by Mayor Roberto Y. Uy and his better-half, First Lady Madame Evelyn Uy, who is the chairperson of the City Tourism Council.
